Gristle Gal
Some carnivores prefer their bacon crispy
reminding me of a leather strap.
Leather is fun but not something I want to ingest.
I want to chew and grind my breakfast meat allowing
the gristle to flavor the rest of the strip with
buttery, savory juices
the same way
my fatty flesh is pleasured
producing tangy, mildly sweet juices
when you nibble and grind on it.
