Leaning Into Humility

Letting Go of the Need for Recognition

A written and drawn visual representation of the prose piece.
A visual representation through drawings and the written word. Text is below.

Why are humbling moments painful? I shrink,

feel small, fill with doubt…

the pool of confidence

drained.

Recognition is so huge to me,

but I think it hinders

me. I need to find a

way to let it go.

I need to CONTINUE,

  • to do the things,
  • doing what I know is right,
  • leaning into the discomfort of humility,
  • asking myself questions,
  • reaching out,
  • reflecting,

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY

Keep on writing.
